The KAZ course is an online tutorial consisting of five easy-to-follow modules. You simply start at the top and work through each module in order.
Comfort while Learning
The course opens with a specialised ‘Preference Screen’, minimising visual disturbances for learners who need it. Visually impaired learners should select the VI mode, which will take them to the VI course. This edition includes additional spoken instruction and shortcuts and is compatible with JAWS, other screen readers, and magnification software/hardware.
The short introductory module teaches correct posture at the keyboard and highlights its importance in preventing Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).
A Multi-sensory Approach
KAZ’s multi-sensory approach engages the major senses of sight, sound, and touch, radically enhancing memory retention and recall, which is why the course has proven so effective.
Brain Balance
The ‘Basics’ module teaches the a-z keys using five scientifically structured and trademarked phrases. Incorporating brain balance, the phrases teach the fingers of both hands to work symmetrically and simultaneously – no other typing software works in this way.
Build Muscle Memory & Automaticity
The ‘Just Do It’ module offers fun challenges against the clock aimed at building muscle memory and automaticity. They were also designed to help learners with short memory.
Master your Punctuation
The ‘And the Rest’ module teaches the remainder of the keyboard, including punctuation and the number keys.
Build Speed and Accuracy
The Speed Builder module is designed to help you improve your speed and accuracy. It offers additional practise on just the a-z keys, or short phrases, paragraphs, and a typing test, including punctuation.
